Ingredients

  • Ingredients
  • 1 pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Optional toppings: spinach cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, or olives

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions
  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
  • In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it reaches your desired thickness. If using a pizza stone, transfer the dough onto a pizza peel dusted with flour.
  • Spread the ricotta mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the ricotta layer. Add any additional toppings you desire.
  • Carefully slide the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or place it on a baking sheet if not using a stone. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Once cooked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
  • For the best results, consider experimenting with different toppings to suit your taste.
  • Roasting vegetables beforehand can enhance their flavor, and using a mix of fresh herbs can elevate the dish further. Additionally, a drizzle of balsamic glaze on top just before serving adds a lovely tang that complements the creaminess of the ricotta.
