Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • Flatbread store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 2 medium ripe tomatoes sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Balsamic glaze optional, for drizzling

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat as well.
  • Place the flatbread on a baking sheet or a pizza peel if you're using a pizza stone. Drizzle a little olive oil over the flatbread to lightly coat it.
  • Arrange the slices of fresh mozzarella evenly over the flatbread, making sure to leave some space for the toppings.
  • Layer the tomato slices on top of the mozzarella. Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top it with fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with a bit more olive oil and balsamic glaze, if desired.
  • Slice and serve warm, enjoying the fresh flavors and delightful texture.
  • For best results when making margarita flatbread pizza, use the freshest ingredients you can find. Look for vine-ripened tomatoes and high-quality mozzarella for a rich flavor.
  • Additionally, you can experiment with different toppings or add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. This dish is versatile, so feel free to make adjustments based on your personal preferences!
