When it comes to easy, flavorful meals, grilled chicken skewers stand out as a crowd-pleaser. You'll love this recipe because it combines simplicity with taste. First, the marinade is quick to prepare. Just mix together a few basic ingredients like olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, and your favorite herbs. This blend not only adds flavor but also helps keep the chicken moist while grilling.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • - 1/4 cup olive oil
  • - 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • - 2 tablespoons honey
  • - 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • - 3 cloves garlic minced
  • - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • - 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • - Skewers wooden or metal

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended to create a marinade.
  • Add the cubed chicken to the marinade, making certain that each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer to a resealable plastic bag. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for maximum flavor.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
  • Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece to guarantee even cooking.
  • Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked through and has nice grill marks. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • For the best results, make sure to not overcrowd the grill, as this can lead to uneven cooking. Additionally, feel free to add vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, or cherry tomatoes to the skewers for a colorful and nutritious addition.
  • Always check the internal temperature of the chicken to confirm it's cooked properly, and consider serving with your favorite dipping sauce for added flavor!
