Firecracker Chicken Wraps

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce such as Frank's RedHot
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • Optional: ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, combine the hot sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
  • Remove the chicken from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes. While the chicken is cooling, prepare the tortillas by warming them in a separate skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  • To assemble the wraps, lay a tortilla flat on a plate, add a portion of the cooked chicken, and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, and shredded cheese.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to secure the filling inside. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  • For best results, consider letting the marinated chicken sit longer before cooking to allow the flavors to deepen. Additionally, feel free to add or substitute ingredients based on your preferences; grilled peppers, avocado, or jalapeƱos can elevate the wraps even further.
  • Enjoy your Firecracker Chicken Wraps with a revitalizing drink to balance the heat!
