Cooking Instructions:
In a large pot or skillet over medium heat, add the ground sausage. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
Drain any excess fat from the sausage, if necessary. Stir in the pasta, chicken broth, milk, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover the pot and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and has absorbed most of the liquid.
Add the frozen peas (or any other vegetables you desire) to the pot and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the peas are heated through.
Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to thicken. Serve warm, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
