Ingredients

  • Recipe
  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips 12 oz

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, packed brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. You may also add a splash of vanilla extract if desired.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Use a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop to portion out the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown but the tops remain pale.
  • Allow the cookies to sit on the baking pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • For the best cookie results, consider adjusting the chilling time of your dough. No chilling time required means you can enjoy fresh cookies more quickly! If you prefer thicker cookies, chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes will help achieve that. Additionally, feel free to experiment with different types of chocolate chips or add coarsely chopped nuts for added texture.
  • Always remember to store your cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh for longer!
