Chicken Bacon Alfredo Casserole

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - 2 cups cooked pasta penne or rigatoni
  • - 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • - 1 cup cooked bacon chopped
  • - 2 cups Alfredo sauce store-bought or homemade
  • - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly with cooking spray or butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, chopped bacon, and Alfredo sauce. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed. Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the casserole.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  • Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  • For best results, consider cooking your pasta al dente, as it will continue to soften during baking. If you want to add more flavor, sauté some onions and garlic before mixing them into the casserole.
  • You can also experiment with adding vegetables like spinach, broccoli, or bell peppers to the mix for added nutrition. This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days before baking, making it a great option for meal prep.
